Bullfighting has fallen out of favour with the current culture, and racing has enjoyed a slight resurgence of late. With mountaineering holding steady, we only have just two sports. What do you think should be the third?

Bullfighting is still pretty popular in the same places it was in Ernest’s day.
Outside if Irish road racing, the IoM, Dakar and Baja, I don’t think he’d still consider racing a sport.

Whenever someone brings up bull fighting, I think of this picture where the bull scores one. They torment those animals to death. It’s about the most inhumane thing I can think of, except perhaps Boko Haram.

I think it’s weird that the Hemingway quote specifies MOTOR racing. Racing is the most basic sport , possibly the first sport ever invented, and motors are just one way to go about it.
